Call for tenders for the procurement of IT services in the field of data and artificial intelligence (AI)
Bern, 25.03.2026 — The Federal Chancellery is launching a tender procedure for the procurement of IT services in the field of data and artificial intelligence, worth CHF 57 million. The call for tenders has been published on the public procurement platform simap.ch.
The Federal Chancellery, with the assistance of the Federal Office for Buildings and Logistics, is seeking service providers to implement strategies in the field of data and AI for the period 2026 to 2031. The aim of this initiative is to promote shared solutions within the Federal Administration and to support federal offices and departments in the digital transformation process.
The tender is divided into two lots. The first lot covers data-related services while the second covers AI-related services. For each of the two lots, the contract will be awarded to the seven successful bidders who have obtained the highest number of points.
SMEs and start-ups also invited to submit bids
Tenderers may submit a bid for each lot. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), including start-ups, are particularly encouraged to submit a bid. Tenderers may form a consortium or participate as subcontractors to another company. A company may not submit multiple bids within the same lot.
The evaluation is scheduled to take place by the end of June. However, this depends on the number of bids submitted and the progress of the evaluation. The successful tenderers should be able to begin providing services for the offices from the third quarter of 2026.
